In an exclusive interview, Zoe Williams, who says is the ex-girlfriend and mother of Dakota Hawver's child, confirmed his identity as the gunman responsible for the mass shooting outside the Grand Sierra Resort on July 28. She provided a link to his Facebook profile.
Williams described their past relationship as ending nearly five years ago when she learned she was pregnant, citing Hawver’s “incredibly aggressive” behavior as the reason for their separation. She declined an on-camera interview but agreed to an audio-recorded conversation, offering insight into Hawver’s character. “He was really aggressive, narcissistic, very mean and racist,” Williams said. “He was not a good person... I just don’t have him in my life—for a reason.”
