We deserve the truth.” The Melbourne casino will continue to operate throughout the inquiry, however, Victoria Gaming Minister Melissa Horne insisted it would “operate within the context of a Royal Commission examining its suitability”. "There are thousands of people working in Crown, we need to make sure that we’re protecting jobs but also too were doing it in a way where the casino is operating in a suitable manner," she said. Following the announcement on Monday, Harold Mitchell resigned from Crown's board, becoming the fourth director to step down. The Royal Commission was expected to hand down its findings on August 1.
