It begins with boarding a shaded, open-air, 4x4 tour truck and taking a short three-mile drive from Page, AZ on Highway 89. From here, you will exit the highway and enjoy a thrilling six-mile off-road adventure drive through sandy washes, rolling hills to arrive south of Lake Powell in Antelope Canyon. There you will enjoy a 300-meter nature walk to the entrance of one of the longest slot canyons to be toured on the Navajo Nation. You will have up to an hour to photograph and meander through the slot canyon and back out to the vehicle for the return ride back to the Horseshoe Bend Overlook on Navajo land. We will avoid the congested public parking lot for the Overlook, and will take a private dirt road which leads to within 100 meters of the edge of the canyon. From here, you will have a much shorter walk to the rim and from there be able to stroll along the side of a 1000 foot drop. The undulating sandstone provides various angles and views of the Colorado River as it meanders around a rock promontory, creating the Horseshoe Bend loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. This portion of the tour lasts approximately an hour and allows for phenomenal picture taking. From here, we will return to our office near Antelope slot canyon in Page, AZ. DEPARTURE TIMES Tours typically depart hourly from 8am until 4pm (depending on daylight hours). Availability may be limited during January and February. What To Bring: PPE - mask, hand sanitizer, etc. Winter months - warm coat, hat, gloves, scarf (lap blanket optional) Summer months - brimmed hat, sunscreen and sunglasses Water bottle Comfortable shoes to walk up to 1 mile in sandy terrain Camera gear Purse or small backpack allowed What NOT To Bring: Children under the age of 6 Pets of any kind Drones (per Navajo Nation regulations) Alcoholic beverages Important: Please check in at least 20 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Tour departures will NOT be delayed for guests arriving late. We operate on Arizona Time which is the same timezone as Flagstaff, Sedona, Phoenix and the Grand Canyon. Silverton Casino Hotel Las Vegas Tour | 9.25.2021 Silverton (formerly Boomtown Las Vegas) is a 300-room hotel and casino. It features a rustic lodge theme and a 65,556 sq ft (6,090.4 m2) casino. Roski purchased an 80-acre parcel in 1989, and originally planned to build an industrial warehouse on the site, before deciding on a casino instead. In 1993, he partnered with Boomtown, Inc. to build a hotel and casino on 56 acres of the property. Roski built the project through a company of his, with financing from Boomtown, Inc. The Boomtown hotel-casino opened on May 20, 1994, and was operated by Boomtown, Inc., which leased the facility from Roski. The hotel-casino failed to generate a substantial profit in its early years, due to a poor location. Roski took over operations in July 1997, ending his partnership with Boomtown, Inc. He renamed the property as the Silverton on December 2, 1997. A Bass Pro Shop was added in 2004 as part of a $150 million expansion. Also added was an indoor, 117,000-gallon aquarium, which offers mermaid shows. In 2005, there were plans to eventually add other hotels, retail space, and a timeshare facility on the remainder of the Silverton property. Another expansion, costing $160 million, was finished in 2008. It included additional casino space and a parking garage. An 18-story timeshare tower – known as The Berkley, Las Vegas – was eventually added in 2016, along with the state's first Cracker Barrel restaurant. Two years later, plans were announced for Silverton Village, a collection of retailers and restaurants. In 2019, the Silverton added a 150-room Hyatt Place hotel as part of its village plan.
