Las Vegas @ Paris Hotel
We take the track out, usually Saturdays 9am-1pm, and we set up in public, usually in different places.
This time we're at the local Lucky Supermarket on Castro Valley Blvd. Never know who you're going to meet, but it's fun to watch people approach. Failed to get it on video, but one guy who was probably 12 years old or so came up with his mouth dropped open. So focused was he that he wasn't aware of me watching or much else as he processed what he was looking at.
He stood still at the corner of the trailer and it probably took him 90 seconds to break his concentration. When his mouth did close, it was combined with a suddenly self-conscious glance up at me as he realized that I was watching him.
He grinned a great big grin right then and he stayed for the next hour. That's as good a reason as any to spend the energy that we do on this. All of our clubmembers love running our cars, and we really enjoy watching others tune into what we enjoy so much.
