Reno Casino Shooting Latest | 3 dead, 3 hurt in Reno casino shooting
A shooting outside Reno’s largest casino left three people dead and three others injured Monday morning. Gunfire broke out just before 7:30 a.m. near the valet area of the Grand Sierra Resort (GSR), a major venue that draws thousands for concerts, sporting events and tourism just outside downtown Reno. The suspect was ultimately taken into custody and hospitalized after being shot by responding officers. Authorities are still investigating the motive behind the attack. According to Sparks Police Chief Chris Crawforth, the suspect walked onto the parking lot of the resort from the north part of the property and walked over to the valet area. Once there, he pointed a gun at a group of people, but it malfunctioned.
